Exhibition: Open Spaces - Windows to a View

In Partnership with Calgary Arts Development

Exhibition Duration:
September - November, 2024

Location:
7th Ave LRT Platform, Telus Convention Centre

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Open Spaces: Windows to a View, a year-long public art exhibition in collaboration with Calgary Arts Development (CADA)!

This exciting initiative will transform the windows at the 7th Ave LRT Platform (adjacent to the Telus Convention Centre, between 1st Street & Centre Street S.E.) into vibrant showcases of talent, featuring the work of eight immigrant artists over the next twelve months.

What is Open Spaces?

Open Spaces celebrates Calgary’s cultural diversity by providing a platform for immigrant artists to share their unique stories, perspectives, and artistic voices. Each artist will have a three-month period to display their artwork, turning everyday windows into captivating canvases that connect art with the community.

From September to November 2024, we are delighted to feature Karine Nazaryan as one of our first artists!

Karine Nazaryan, a passionate Armenian-born paper artist, creates vibrant three-dimensional worlds using intricate paper quilling, collage, and cut-out techniques. Her art is alive with bold colors and dynamic forms, evoking joy, curiosity, and the wonder of life.

Experience Karine’s incredible paper art at the 7th Ave LRT Platform this fall!
