On September 25th, the Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI) is honoured to host their first online workshop. Created specifically with the needs of newcomer and immigrant artists in mind, the workshop will provide guidance for individuals who wish to submit applications for grants designed to support the arts. The workshop will include guests from both Calgary Arts Development and the Rozsa Foundation. The invited guests will speak directly to the audience about their respective organizations, how they support the arts in Calgary and will provide information and insight regarding how artists can access their grants and programs. The scheduled workshop guests will include Taylor Poitras, a grant specialist from Calgary Arts Development, as well as Simon Mallett and Geraldine Ysselstein from the Rozsa Foundation. Mr. Mallett currently serves as the Executive Director for the Rozsa Foundation, while Ms. Ysselstein serves as the Arts Leadership Director for the organization. ICAI is privileged to have the support of Calgary Arts Development and the Rozsa Foundation as these distinguished guests bring a wealth of experience within the arts community to the workshop. This workshop is open to artists of all practices, artistic styles or backgrounds. Interested participants are encouraged to register for this event as soon as possible and share this invitation with any other newcomer or immigrant artists who would be interested in the workshop. It is our goal at ICAI to provide support to all newcomer and immigrants artists. We want to let you know that you can play a direct role in making this happen.
