Prairie Debut: Calling Canadian classical and world music artists

Prairie Debut invites emerging and established professional Canadian classical and world musicians currently residing in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba to be part of a special Prairie Debut roster of artists for concerts “Close to Home”.

As opportunities arise for physically distanced and/or digital performances during the 2020-2021 season, you’ll join a special roster of artists for these concerts designed to engage audiences and support presenters in locations within driving distance of home.

Interested? We’re looking for:

  • Musicians with demonstrated excellence in their chosen instrument(s), who are recognized as professionals in their discipline by their peers
  • Individuals or small ensembles, up to four performers
  • Artists who currently live full-time in Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba
  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents, as defined by Citizenship and Immigration Canada
  • Artists and all ensemble members must hold a valid driver’s license, are eligible to drive a rental vehicle, and are comfortable with highway driving in variable weather conditions.

Applications close by Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:59 pm MST.
